“I am grateful I took the leap to contact Arzelle for private sewing lessons. I was contemplating for a long time whether to pick up sewing as it seemed intimidating. However, with Arzelle’s patient guidance, all that doubt just melted away! I realised I only needed a few very basic stitches, and I can mend most of my repair pile. Right from the first repair, the empowerment is real. I did not have to throw away clothing just because there is a tiny hole. I am not at the seamstress’ mercy when I want to save a favourite piece. I can be creative and update an old piece. So many options!

What 6 sessions could look like
Every sewist is unique, and so is their learning pace. In your private sewing coaching sessions, we’ll tailor each lesson to your specific needs and goals. While some sewists may complete a garment or project within six sessions, others may prefer to take their time, focusing on refining techniques and building confidence.
Here’s a general idea of how sessions are structured:

A 30-minute onboarding session to understand your goals, lifestyle, and sewing aspirations.
Suggestion on required tools and equipment.
A customised ‘roadmap’ outlining your journey, tackle patterns, or refine technical skills.
🧵Guided fabric and pattern selection
A 60-minute guided shopping experience to help you select the perfect fabric, notions, and patterns for your project (all purchases are at your own cost).
I will take you to some of my favourite fabric stores across Singapore.
🧵Six 120-Minute coaching sessions
Start: Session one, begin with fabric layout, cutting, and preparation to set a strong foundation.
Middle Sessions: Focus on construction techniques and assembling your garment or project. The number of sessions spent on this depends on the complexity of the garment and your pace.
Final Session: Complete your project with professional finishes, such as adding buttons, hemming, or decorative stitching.
