Hi, I'm Arzelle.
My sewing journey began at age four with a Holly Hobbie sewing machine. By the time I was in primary school, I already knew fashion was where I was headed, choosing my subjects and schools with that goal in mind from the very start.
I earned my BTech in Fashion Design, with a thesis exploring the integration of technology into fashion, including a prototype sportswear garment with a built-in heart monitor. I began my industry career in South Africa, where I ran my own successful bridal and Latin ballroom wear studio, drafted patterns for a swimwear factory, developed brand collections from sports brands to restaurant chains, and launched my own RTW range working with local suppliers and CMTs. All whilst I began lecturing at FEDISA at 23.
At 29 I moved to Singapore to lecture, with many student successes along the way. Some went on to become finalists and winners in international competitions including the Frankfurt Style Awards. I did fabric sourcing trips to Hong Kong and Guangzhou, and took students on industry field trips to France, London, Japan and beyond.

Is this for complete beginners or do I need some experience?
SEWsimple™ works whether you are brand new to sewing or already have some experience and want a proper foundation. The 5-Stage Pathway is structured so you start where you are and build progressively from there. If you have been sewing for a while but feel like your skills have plateaued, this is exactly the structured progression you have been missing.
What if I cannot attend the live Q&Connect calls?
All calls are recorded and available to watch at any time. You can also submit your questions in advance even if you cannot attend live and they will be answered on the call.
How much time do I need each week?
That is entirely up to you. SEWsimple™ is self-paced and designed to fit into the pockets of time real life gives you. Whether you have 20 minutes on a weekday or a whole afternoon free, you will always find something that fits. The S.E.W.N. Framework™ inside the membership is specifically designed to help you sew consistently around your real, busy life.
Do I have to join in with the community and calls?
Not at all. You are welcome to use the membership however suits you best. Some members love the live calls and community conversation. Others prefer to work quietly through the pathway on their own. There is no pressure, and support is always there when you want it.
Can I cancel my membership?
