Hi, I am the founder of Sew on & Sow forth™ and mentor in SEWsimple™ membership.

With over 20 years in various sections of the fashion industry—from creating bespoke wedding dresses and launching my own ready-to-wear range—sewing is my passion. I’ve lectured globally for more than 16 years, and now I’m here to mentor beginner sewists like you, helping you unlock your creativity and confidence.

my world

My sewing journey began at age 4 with a Holly Hobbie sewing machine, sparking a lifelong passion that grew into a 20-year career in the fashion industry. By grade 3, I knew I wanted to go into fashion, and I chose my schools and subjects with that dream in mind. I was always the one creating outfits or bags for myself during school, inspired by Harper’s Bazaar magazines.

I studied fibre art, photography and earned a BTech degree in fashion, which opened doors to designing everything from bespoke wedding dresses to launching my own ready-to-wear line. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my expertise globally, lecturing and mentoring fashion students for more than 16 years.

Now, as the founder of SEWsimple™, I’m dedicated to helping beginner sewists build confidence, foundational skills, and creativity through a structured and supportive membership. With my global experience and a commitment to sustainable, thoughtful sewing, I’m here to make the art of sewing approachable, enjoyable, and inspiring for every new creator.
